Willow Brook chose STREUfex straw shavings for use in its Natural Horsemanship facility because the straw content in the bedding allowed for our ability to recycle them on our pastures, as opposed to wood shavings or pellets which do not necessarily enrich the soil and can cause acidity. There are also advantages of not having to water STREUfex pellets because there appears to be little if any dust, thus saving labor on maintenance, yet stalls remain dry enough to absorb moisture and still create a safe environment for horses’ hooves.
